To help you feel like a super-parent without spending too much time in the kitchen, here are some easy, allergy-friendly after-school snacks that we can’t wait to make our little ones (and, honestly, ourselves.)

With only a handful of ingredients and ten minutes to spare, you can easily whip up this simple and satisfying treat. The combination of fruit and cinnamon is classically delicious – and as a bonus, this is a fantastic way to use up any slightly overripe bananas you may have lying around.

This savory snack has got the crunch you love in a potato chip, plus the filling plant-based protein of chickpeas. We love the “cool ranch” combination of garlic, onion and herbs, but feel free to simply use sea salt and pepper – or try experimenting with other flavors (barbecue would be delicious!)

This “candy” is actually packed with nutritious ingredients like grated carrots, shredded coconut and honey (swap that out for maple syrup to make it vegan.) But don’t worry – the kids won’t guess for a second that these sweet little treats are actually good for them! Since they take an hour to bake, we recommend making a big batch over the weekend to enjoy all week long.

Remember the Fruit Roll-Ups you enjoyed as a kid? Well, these are just like that – but made far more nutritious, with only a single ingredient! Yes, that’s right – these are made completely from pureed mangos (and then baked for 3-4 hours, so it’s another recipe that would make a wonderful weekend project.)

These fruity snacks aren’t just pretty to look at. They’re also packed with delicious tropical flavor, and super-easy to make! You don’t even need to turn on the oven, so they’re the perfect treats to whip up while summer’s hot weather is still with us.
