The holiday season is synonymous with a large dinner table topped with heaping platters of delicious food and surrounded by friends, family and loved ones. But nowadays, so often those friends, family and loved ones have different dietary preferences and restrictions – which can make menu-planning a bit tricky.
To help, we’ve compiled some recipes for Thanksgiving sides that are not only dairy-free, gluten-free, and plant-based – but seriously delicious as well.
Gluten-Free, Dairy-Free Cinnamon Crescent Rolls Recipe, from Adventures of a Gluten-Free Mom
Die-hard dinner roll lovers will go crazy over this version, which uses gluten-free flour and Earth Balance Buttery Spread. Add sugar and cinnamon for a sweet roll, or skip them for a savory side.
Cornbread and Wild Rice Dressing Recipe, from Allergic Kid
Dressing or stuffing can be made in so many ways, but we like this one for its combination of sweet and savory ingredients (golden raisins, mushrooms, garlic.) Make it vegan by using veggie stock instead of chicken.
Petite Pommes Anna Recipe, from Go Dairy Free (pictured)
Move over, mashed potatoes. These dairy-free scalloped potato stacks take dinnertime to next-level deliciousness with their herby, buttery flavor and beautiful presentation.
Green Bean Casserole Recipe, from the Dairy-Free Omnivore
For many, Thanksgiving just isn’t Thanksgiving without a classic green bean casserole – and this recipe uses soy milk, cornstarch and vegetable bouillon for a crowd-pleasing version. Need to skip the soy? Try cashew or hemp milk instead.
Molasses, Miso and Maple Candied Sweet Potatoes Recipe, from Go Dairy Free
A plant-powered sweet potato dish that will make you forget all about those mini marshmallows, this recipe is easy to make – but it yields amazing results. The combination of gluten-free Tamari, cinnamon, maple syrup and orange juice strikes that perfect balance between savory and sweet.
Cozy & Comforting Quinoa Veggie Bake Recipe, from Team Daiya
Hearty and packed with delicious, savory ingredients (including Daiya’s Classic Blend Shreds), this flavorful cheesy bake could easily be your main course – especially given the amount of plant-based protein that the quinoa provides.
Savory Pumpkin Tart Recipe, from Vegan Visitor
For an elegant addition to the dinner table, try this beautiful and tasty pumpkin tart. You could use your pre-made vegan pie crust of choice, or DIY your own version. Either way, you’ll love the silky-smooth pumpkin filling flavored with plenty of fall herbs.
